This week I have been inundated with the need for the compuer and at times a bit obsessed. As I search for one answer, my curious nature goes from one topic to another...and then another.... Hours later, I am surprised to know that I have spent so much time on the computer without moving an inch. The focus of this week's blog is to share various websites that I have found throughout my exciting searches on the web. I have learned a lot and have contemplated on the next "technological device" that I may want in a few years!
While doing some "free searching" on the web, I came across some of these videos which sparked great interest to me. It also reminds me that new amazing technology is on the rise again and again. While attending one of my best friends wedding in Florida last April, my hotel room had a mirror which was a t.v. and you could also zoom in to see "blackheads." It was amazing and bizarre at the same time.
Technology is changing every second. Below are videos, in no particular order, that discusses the upcoming trends and provides possible insight to what is next.

Dear Missy,
ReplyDeleteI really liked the videos that you found, especially the "Vision of K-12 Students Today". I try to bring about constructive technology daily in the classroom. One item that was a big technology success for me was the Lesson Video for 1-step equations that I made for my Algebra I students, who said that they enjoyed it, and thought that the video was relevant, and interesting.
See you on Wednesday,
Audra
I also really liked the "Vision of K-12 Students Today". There were some facts in there that I was really taken back by. Especially the percentage of teachers that have never used blogs or wikis. One quote that I really liked from the video was "If we learn by doing, what are we learning sitting here." That is so true! What are kids learning sitting there!?

Missy,
ReplyDeleteWow, wearable tech! Visual hearing aids might sound like an outlandish fad today, but I’m sure in ten years, the technology will be perfected and they will be the norm (people won’t be able to imagine life without them).
I am happy that you “liked” the MAIT page :)

Hello!
ReplyDeleteThose videos were extremely interesting. Microsoft 2020 was my favorite. I can imagine devices such that were used in that video being something common place in our schools and businesses. I just hope NJ and the rest of the nation realizes that school budgets are very important - and that the money should be utilized with one objective in mind: for the children
